The central region of Portugal is called the "Oeste" Region, one of the most spiritual and ZEN regions in Portugal.
A region rich in beaches, historic villages, and UNESCO sites also has Jurassic remains. Gastronomy is connected to Religious Orders and dates back to Medieval times, such as Alfeizerao Pao, the de Lo or medieval village, and the Obidos Ginjinha liquor. Also strongly linked with the sea we have so near: São Martinho do Porto, Nazaré, Foz do Arelho, Peniche, and Berlengas Island.
Outdoor activities are very popular in our region, with Dinosaur Trails in the Jurassic Salir do Porto dunes or the Lourinha dinosaur park. Several hiking, trekking, biking, and walking tours, as well as boat activities, are possible. Don't lose Caldas da Rainha Park or Obidos Lagoon.
